Purchased in 2011, the owners wanted a larger home and lot in the Tangletown neighborhood they love. The basement was tackled first for the four sons to hang out, have friends over, watch movies, play games and have fun. A lot of different design possibilities were explored with SDI, including lowering the basement floor. In the end SDI raised all of the pipes and removed walls. They now have a family room, rec room, bedroom with egress, redesigned 3/4 bath and laundry/mechanical. Arts and Crafts character was kept in every detail including quarter sawn white oak cabinetry & wainscot. It was the clients first-ever remodel and they said working with SDI was a pleasure, staying within budget and timely, responsive to questions/concerns, all sub-contractors were extremely courteous and professional.
